Creativity for Adults
It's very common for adults to lose touch with their intuitive and creative sides. This drawing exercise is designed to help you get back in touch with your deeper expressive self.
You don't need any drawing ability or skills to do this. Drawing is much more about the process than it is about the end result and you will understand this once you draw along with me.
Use the free video tutorial to draw along with me and also the printable worksheets.

Intuitive Drawing
To make sure we don't get caught in the outcome of the drawing we will be using an intuitive approach. This way of working allows room for spontaneity and honest expression that is very beginner friendly.
Learning how to do this type of drawing will also help you develop your personal voice. We want to stay in touch with this part of us as we evolve our drawing skills.
Feelings
Most feelings are much more complex than words can express, at least that is true for me. I have found that it's much easier to express that level of complexity through drawing.
Abstract Art
I would recommend that you start with abstract shapes and lines. This way you don't get caught up in technical skills early on. If you do have an interest in drawing characters then you can feel free to apply that here, but if you are new to drawing I would start with just shapes and lines.
Adult Beginners
It's important to remember that drawing is for everyone. I think there is a broad misconception that drawing is a fun activity for children and professionals but that couldn't be further from the truth.
To me that is similar to saying that we should only enjoy music while young.
You can learn how to draw and express yourself at any age and I think the impacts can be huge. It will be a great way for you to connect with your deeper self and take care of yourself. Its also a great way to make gifts for people that you love!
