Spirit of Unity

Dear Friend,

As you look at the people around you, do you see friends or foes? Don't face resistance and doubt with anger and resentment. You are stepping outside the norm and people will question your decisions. That doesn't mean that you should distance yourself from those who care about you.

You will feel moments of isolation as you face problems that others won't have experienced before. This is a natural part of the journey but that doesn't mean that people won't be there for you. Lean on people in moments of weakness, you are part of this world and it is your responsibility to stay connected to it.

You have written many letters discussing your desire to become stronger so you can lift everyone up; this is an admirable trait but remember that it takes humility to ask for help when you need it. Strength without humility will eventually lead to tyranny.

Asking for help doesn't make you a burden, it gives the people the opportunity to be there for you. How can you expect others to lean on you if you are never willing to show your own flaws and fears?

You can only experience the beauty of life if you leave yourself vulnerable to it. You cant develop deep connections with people unless you are willing to leave yourself open and be at peace with your flaws. Even if you achieve great things, at the end of the day, people will want to connect with your humanity.

Don't isolate yourself, it won't serve you or the people you care about.
