The Fox Head

For the head of the fox we start with a box, add two triangles to the sides and then a small triangle at the bottom. This will give us a diamond shape, practice these steps until drawing the diamond shape feels natural and you don't have to draw the initial shapes. I like to teach drawing this way because it helps you see how to construct things using basic shapes.

Add a cute face to the diamond by drawing two dots for eyes and a small triangle for the nose, I left out the mouth for this drawing because I think it makes it cuter but you can add a mouth if you want!

For the ears we draw a box with a triangle at the top, this is an angled approach that I like using because it's easier to understand but you can also make the ears more rounded if you prefer that.

Full Fox Drawing

To draw the full fox first draw in the diamond shape we practiced in part 1 and then draw a rectangular form for the body. The shape of the body changes drastically depending on the pose so make sure to take this step by step to make it easier.

After we have the two major shapes down we can add four cylinders for the legs, you can think of these as sticks at the bottom of the rectangular form and then the ears. For the final step we add in the cute face and the tail which has a similar shape to the ears.

Add some detailing lines and shading to make it a little more interesting, you can see that I have added a bit of shading to the legs that are further back to help distinguish them from the legs that are closer to the viewer.
